Welcome to St. Mary Catholic School

Welcome to St. Mary Catholic School. We are a unique,  Kindergarten to Grade 12 school, offering a faith based, 21st century education with many opportunities for involvement in sports, music, travel, student leadership and more.

This new school year is full of promise and excitement.  St. Mary Catholic School's greatest strength is the opportunity for students to work in small class sizes from Kindergarten to grade 12, in a faith based community dedicated to supporting and nurturing life-long faith and learning. 

Teachers at St. Mary School and throughout the Evergreen Catholic School Division are dedicated to providing the best education, based on the latest research and trends in education.  Teachers have been focused, over the past three years on developing an inquiry based educational experience, that puts the student at the centre of the learning experience.  To learn more, visit Alberta Educattion's page on Inquiry.

This year marks the beginbning of a new project aimed at helping teachers develop, within the context of inquiry based learned, differentiated instruction classrooms (read more).

At St. Mary Catholic School, students have tremendous opportunity for involvement in faith based activities through our division Chaplain, Mike Landry, who visits the school regularly to work with teachers and students and to host day long faith based retreats for students in grades 5 to 12.  Along with regular involvement and attendance at mass, religious education classes, visits and teachings from Father Sabinus and faith permeated throughout the curriculum, students are offered an experience rich in faith and spiritual growth.

We look forward to "Sharing the Spirit" through our many celebrations, sports events, masses and just in the hallways as we greet parents upon their arrival.
